United Way works to advance the common good by focusing on the three building blocks for a good quality of life – education, financial stability and health. We recruit people and organizations from all across the county who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done, and we need you to join us. You can give, you can advocate and you can volunteer. When we work together toward a common purpose, we can solve problems that none of us can solve alone.
GIVE - Invest in Your Community
When you give your money to United Way, you are making an investment back into the county that you live and/or work in. Even if you don’t know a child on the other side of town, it matters whether that child grows up to be a contributing member of this community. We all have a stake in that, and a responsibility to do our part.

You Can Donate Through Your Workplace Campaign
The best and easiest way to give is through your workplace, especially if your employer offers the option of payroll deduction. That way, you can have a small amount taken out of your check each pay period or each month, and still provide a sizable gift without harming your budget. Many people opt to give $2 per week, so that they are able to invest more than $100 back into their community. Some employers even match all or a part of your gift, which significantly increases what your investment. If your employer doesn’t run a workplace campaign, find out how to start one by calling our office at 740-383-3108.
You Can Donate Stocks/Securities
For many people, investments in securities represent a significant portion of their assets. Stocks and other investments are often an important part of one's long-term plans, providing a nest egg to rely on in the future. Did you know that your investments can also be an excellent source of charitable gifts? Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other securities that you have owned for more than one year not only make convenient gifts, but can provide you with welcome tax benefits as well.
